Range & Status

Scattered distribution across southern Britain.

Regional Distribution

Recorded in Tremayne Woods (by the Helford) in 1989.

Habitat & Ecology

The larvae develop in wet decaying wood lying across seepages and small streams within dense woodlands.

Threats

Drainage or pollution of ground water. Clearance of fallen branches, etc.

Conservation

The Cornish site is on National Trust land. Listed on the UK BAP Priority Species list

(2007).
