Myxicola aesthetica



Range & Status

Recorded from south Wales, south Devon, Cornwall and Isle of Man (Hayward & Ryland, 1995). Recorded from the shore at Cremyll, at the mouth of the Tamar estuary and the Fal. A benthic species, found in the lower eulittoral and sublittoral; a small sabellid approximately 25mm long living in a temporary tube secreted in crevices between rock and Laminaria holdfasts; can be locally abundant.
