Range & Status
A recent revision of European Heterodermia by Prof. Roland Moberg has revealed that all British material of ' H.obscurata' is H. japonica , as is H. propagulifera . Found on mossy tree trunks, short turf and mossy rocks in old/ancient woodland and parkland. Also found, as on the Lizard Peninsula and the Isles of Scilly, on exposed coastal heaths.
