Chrysis viridula



Range & Status

Widespread throughout southern England and Wales north to Yorkshire. Recent evidence suggests that it may be in decline. Numerous records for Cornwall prior to 1972, however, only eight post-1980 sites; the most recent ones from Windmill Farm (a Cornwall Wildlife Trust nature reserve) on the Lizard Peninsula (2007), and Rosemullion Head near Mawnan Smith (2004). It is a parasitoid of the eumerid wasp Odynerus spinipes .
