Sabella discifera



Range & Status

Syn. Sabella variabilis Langerhans; Megalomma linares Rioja. Found on the coasts of south Wales, south Devon, the Isles of Scilly and Roscoff. A benthic species, found in the sublittoral at 24-49m depth; a small fan worm to 52mm long living in a rubbery tube in current exposed situations on stones, rocks and sea-fans; can be locally abundant.
