Range & Status

In Britain only recorded from the waters off Plymouth. Recorded in Cornish waters from 42 fathoms near the Eddystone, off Plymouth, in 1912 (M.B.A., 1957). A benthic species; recorded from the eulittoral and sublittoral to 1400m; a medium-sized worm up to 100mm long found amongst a wide range of sediments from mud to gravel, rocks, algae, sponges and coral.
