Range & Status
Mainly found in clean water in the sublittoral zone. This species seems to be genuinely uncommon and is probably confined to the south-western coasts of the British Isles. The voucher specimen for this species was taken from Merope Rocks near Padstow. Elsewhere it is known from south Devon, Dorset, north-east Scotland and along the Atlantic coasts of France and Portugal.
