Terpios fugax - Blue Sponge



Range & Status

On rock surfaces and under boulders at about low water spring tide and sublittorally to about 70m depth of water. The deep blue variety, one of the few examples of a blue British sponge, has been recorded from south-west England (Dorset to north Devon), the southwest, west and north-west Wales and the west coast of Scotland.
