Range & Status
Widely distributed in southern England and scattered further north, but very localised.
Regional Distribution
Predominantly known from West Penwith and The Lizard, the most recent record being from the Sennen Cove area by Paul Gainey in 2005.
Habitat & Ecology
Feeds on Campions Silene spp. and other related plants on coastal shingle and
grassland.
Threats
Loss of coastal grazing, leading to coarsening of sward and scrub development.
Conservation
Maintain or restore cliff grazings.
