Range & Status
In holes and crevices amongst rocks or buried in sand or mud attached to stones beneath; in the lower littoral zone down to about 20m depth of water. Occurring on the south coast of the British Isles from Sussex to the Isles of Scilly and the west coast of Ireland. Elsewhere it occurs south to the Mediterranean.
