Gonactinia prolifera



Range & Status

A tiny anemone found attached to shells and stones from the shallow sub-littoral to 100m depth of water. Reported from south Cornwall and the Clyde around the turn of the 20th century, it has relatively recently been found in the Fal estuary, at Plymouth, around the coast of Northern Ireland and in Scottish sea lochs.
