The ERICA for Windows database has been developed over 30 years to cater for the needs of the Biological Recording Community in Cornwall. It offers the best and most sophisticated way to access the records held by the Cornish Biodiversity Network (CBN) and provides all the tools needed to manage biological records.
There is a large variety of maps that can be generated using ERICA, using difference scales, date classes and combinations of species. Below are two hotspot maps showing the number of species of Red Data Book plants. These maps pick out where concentrations of such rare and/or threatened species occur.
