Flora of Cornwall (1999)

The descriptive text, below the map, is from the Flora of Cornwall (1999), which was a Tetrad Atlas (the maps had 2km square dots or Tetrads). The map on this web page depicts the plant's distribution at the 1km square scale and shows the records made pre-2000 which were used in the 1999 Flora and those made since.

Euphrasia tetraquetra - An Eyebright

In Cornwall this eyebright is common in short turf along the coast, both on cliff slopes and in dune grassland. On the Lizard it is particularly frequent on the west side of the peninsula, extending inland in one area (SW6815 and SW6916). There are a few other inland records, such as growing on mine waste near St. Day (SW74K, 1995, C.N.French), and at Carrine Common (SW74W, 1989, K.L.Spurgin). It also occurs on the Isles of Scilly.
