Flora of Cornwall (1999)

The descriptive text, below the map, is from the Flora of Cornwall (1999), which was a Tetrad Atlas (the maps had 2km square dots or Tetrads). The map on this web page depicts the plant's distribution at the 1km square scale and shows the records made pre-2000 which were used in the 1999 Flora and those made since.

Rubus orbus

i> Rubus orbus is a regional endemic. In Cornwall it is mainly found in the east where it is widespread and locally common at such places as Heskyn Bridge (SX35P, 1990, R.W.Gould) and Laneast Downs (SX28H, 1995, R.W.Gould). In West Cornwall it has been found on Porkellis Moor (SW63W, 1980s, L.J.Margetts) and at a few places on the Lizard, including Croft Pascoe Plantation (SW72F, 1984, L.J.Margetts) and on the Trelowarren estate (SW72G, 1984, L.J.Margetts).
