Flora of Cornwall (1999)

The descriptive text, below the map, is from the Flora of Cornwall (1999), which was a Tetrad Atlas (the maps had 2km square dots or Tetrads). The map on this web page depicts the plant's distribution at the 1km square scale and shows the records made pre-2000 which were used in the 1999 Flora and those made since.

Verbascum phlomoides - Orange Mullein

An introduced species, Orange Mullein has been found on St. Mary's, Isles of Scilly, on several occasions. It has also been seen at several locations in Cornwall, including a hedgebank at Lelant (SW53P, 1984, B.M.Sturdy), mine waste at Halamanning (SW53Q, 1977, K.Plummer) and waste ground at Plaidy, near East Looe (SX25R, 1983, S.C.Madge).
