Flora of Cornwall (1999)

The descriptive text, below the map, is from the Flora of Cornwall (1999), which was a Tetrad Atlas (the maps had 2km square dots or Tetrads). The map on this web page depicts the plant's distribution at the 1km square scale and shows the records made pre-2000 which were used in the 1999 Flora and those made since.

Mentha x gracilis - Bushy Mint

There are very few recent records for this hybrid between M. arvensis and M. spicata , and none confirmed for the Isles of Scilly. Previous records are listed in Margetts & David (1981) and Margetts & Spurgin (1991) as M. x gentilis , these including var. gracilis and var. variegata . Additional records are from waste ground at Winsor (SX37R, 1990, M.Atkinson) and in a field by the River Tamar, near Horsebridge (SX37X, 1991, M.Atkinson).
