Flora of Cornwall (1999)

The descriptive text, below the map, is from the Flora of Cornwall (1999), which was a Tetrad Atlas (the maps had 2km square dots or Tetrads). The map on this web page depicts the plant's distribution at the 1km square scale and shows the records made pre-2000 which were used in the 1999 Flora and those made since.

Carex pallescens - Pale Sedge

Pale Sedge is confined to the woodlands of East Cornwall, where it is mainly found in more open areas. Sites include Bishop's Wood [given as Hustyn Wood (1976) in Margetts & David, 1981] (SX06E, 1996, I.J.Bennallick), Woodabridge Conifer Plantation (SX37N, 1994, M.Atkinson), Watergate Wood (SX37M, 1989, A.Atkinson) and Carthamartha (SX37T, 1980, L.J.Margetts).
