Flora of Cornwall (1999)

The descriptive text, below the map, is from the Flora of Cornwall (1999), which was a Tetrad Atlas (the maps had 2km square dots or Tetrads). The map on this web page depicts the plant's distribution at the 1km square scale and shows the records made pre-2000 which were used in the 1999 Flora and those made since.

Disphyma crassifolium - Purple Dewplant

An established alien near the sea, Purple Dewplant is naturalised on walls, cliffs and dunes such as at Pendennis Point, Falmouth (SW83F, 1993, D.T.Holyoak), on cliffs above Porthcurnick Beach (SW83T, 1998, R.E.Lees), around the Lizard lighthouse (SW71A, 1993, H.M.Meredith) and on various of the Scillonian Islands such as Tresco (SV81X, 1992, A.Underhill) and St. Mary's (SV91A, 1995, A.Underhill).
