Flora of Cornwall (1999)

The descriptive text, below the map, is from the Flora of Cornwall (1999), which was a Tetrad Atlas (the maps had 2km square dots or Tetrads). The map on this web page depicts the plant's distribution at the 1km square scale and shows the records made pre-2000 which were used in the 1999 Flora and those made since.

Phormium cookianum - Lesser New Zealand Flax

Lesser New Zealand Flax is well established as a naturalised alien on the Isles of Scilly. It can be seen in abundance above Great Bay on St. Martin's (SV91I, 1995, D.T.Holyoak) as well on St. Mary's (SV91A, 1994, A.Underhill) and at New Grimsby on Tresco (SX81X, 1984, B.M.Spooner).
