Flora of Cornwall (1999)

The descriptive text, below the map, is from the Flora of Cornwall (1999), which was a Tetrad Atlas (the maps had 2km square dots or Tetrads). The map on this web page depicts the plant's distribution at the 1km square scale and shows the records made pre-2000 which were used in the 1999 Flora and those made since.

Agapanthus praecox subsp. orientalis - African Lily

African Lily is a well established garden escape on the Isles of Scilly, especially on dunes such as on Tresco (SV81X) and St. Martin's (SV91I). On the mainland it has been found at a few localities including, as a garden relic at Phillack Towans (SW53U, 1994, D.T.Holyoak), on south-facing slopes on St. Michael's Mount (SW52E, 1985, R.J.Murphy), and on the bar at St. Just-in-Roseland (SW83M, 1990, R.J.Murphy).
