Flora of Cornwall (1999)

The descriptive text, below the map, is from the Flora of Cornwall (1999), which was a Tetrad Atlas (the maps had 2km square dots or Tetrads). The map on this web page depicts the plant's distribution at the 1km square scale and shows the records made pre-2000 which were used in the 1999 Flora and those made since.

Carex disticha - Brown Sedge

A sedge of wet meadows and marshes, it is most frequent on the Lizard, but may well still remain on Penhale (SW75T). The recent records are Ogo Downs, Mullion (SW61S, 1983, L.J.Margetts), Poldhu Cove (SW62Q, 1990, R.J.Murphy), Hendra (SW71D, 1980s, A.J.Byfield) and south of Trelan (SW71P, 1980s, A.J.Byfield).
