Flora of Cornwall (1999)

The descriptive text, below the map, is from the Flora of Cornwall (1999), which was a Tetrad Atlas (the maps had 2km square dots or Tetrads). The map on this web page depicts the plant's distribution at the 1km square scale and shows the records made pre-2000 which were used in the 1999 Flora and those made since.

Salicornia ramosissima - Twiggy Glasswort

Purple Glasswort occurs at many of the sites where S. europaea is found, but is considerably rarer. It can be found at Porhilly Cove on the Camel (SW97H, 1994, R.J.Murphy), at the eastern end of Copperhouse Pool in Hayle (SW53U, 1993, D.T.Holyoak), at Pencalenick near Tresillian (SW84M, 1988, R.J.Murphy), by Erth Island near St. Germans (SX35T, 1987, C.N.French) and at Cargreen (SX46G, 1980, S.C.Madge).
