Flora of Cornwall (1999)

The descriptive text, below the map, is from the Flora of Cornwall (1999), which was a Tetrad Atlas (the maps had 2km square dots or Tetrads). The map on this web page depicts the plant's distribution at the 1km square scale and shows the records made pre-2000 which were used in the 1999 Flora and those made since.

Bidens tripartita - Trifid Bur-marigold

Trifid Bur-marigold is usually found in coastal marshes and by rivers, as at Church Cove, Gunwalloe (SW62Q), also around the margins of ponds, lakes and reservoirs such as the Tamar Lakes (SS21V). It has been recorded as a tan-bark alien at the tannery in Grampound (SW94J, 1980s, A.J.Byfield), but seems to have disappeared from most of its old localities in mid-Cornwall, as on Goss Moor (SW95P).
