Flora of Cornwall (1999)

The descriptive text, below the map, is from the Flora of Cornwall (1999), which was a Tetrad Atlas (the maps had 2km square dots or Tetrads). The map on this web page depicts the plant's distribution at the 1km square scale and shows the records made pre-2000 which were used in the 1999 Flora and those made since.

Prunus cerasifera - Cherry Plum

Cherry Plum is a rare introduction and, most, if not all, the few records are of planted trees. It can be seen in St. Colan churchyard (SW86Q, 1991, E.Jackson), at Gentle Jane (SW97M, 1994, R.J.Murphy) and has long been known in Saltash (SX45J, 1990, R.W.Gould). It has been recorded on St. Mary's, Isles of Scilly (SV91).
