Flora of Cornwall (1999)

The descriptive text, below the map, is from the Flora of Cornwall (1999), which was a Tetrad Atlas (the maps had 2km square dots or Tetrads). The map on this web page depicts the plant's distribution at the 1km square scale and shows the records made pre-2000 which were used in the 1999 Flora and those made since.

Spiraea x pseudosalicifolia - Confused Bridewort

Confused Bridewort was discovered growing on St. Mary's, Isles of Scilly, in 1992 (SV91B, A.Underhill). Since then it has been found on the mainland at a few sites near Redruth and towards Helston. It has been found on waste ground, mine waste, road verges and on a hedge at such places as Porkellis Moor (SW63W, 1993, D.T.Holyoak), north of Tolskithy (SW64W, 1994, D.T.Holyoak) and on waste ground at Yeolmbridge (SX38I, 1998, D.Dupree).
