Flora of Cornwall (1999)

The descriptive text, below the map, is from the Flora of Cornwall (1999), which was a Tetrad Atlas (the maps had 2km square dots or Tetrads). The map on this web page depicts the plant's distribution at the 1km square scale and shows the records made pre-2000 which were used in the 1999 Flora and those made since.

Euonymus japonicus - Japanese Spindle Tree

Evergreen Spindle has become well naturalised on the Isles of Scilly and in some areas in West Cornwall. It grows on cliffs as at Treen (SW32W, 1980s, G. Halliday), in quarries as at Kenidjack (SW33L, 1995, C.N.French), on sand dunes at Phillack Towans (SW53U, 1993, D.T.Holyoak), and in churchyards such as St. Colan (SW86Q, 1991, B.E.Jackson).
