The map on this web page depicts the plant's distribution at the 1km square scale and shows the records made pre-2000 which were used in the 1999 Flora and those made since.

Geum rivale - Water Avens



Rare in Cornwall,Water Avens is a plant of damp woodland, marshes and the edge of ponds and streams. It has been recorded in the Launceston area (SX38) and at three sites near Egloskerry (SX28). In 1998 it was refound at two of these places; in the wood near Badharlick Bridge (SX28T, I.J.Bennallick) and in the wooded stream valley north of East Down End (SX28S, I.J.Bennallick).
