Flora of Cornwall (1999)

The descriptive text, below the map, is from the Flora of Cornwall (1999), which was a Tetrad Atlas (the maps had 2km square dots or Tetrads). The map on this web page depicts the plant's distribution at the 1km square scale and shows the records made pre-2000 which were used in the 1999 Flora and those made since.

Sparganium erectum subsp. neglectum - Bur-reed

This aquatic plant has been recorded from a few pools, ditches, marshes and lake margins and from the Bude Canal (SS20C, before 1980, E.Almond). Most recently it has been seen in one of the lakes at Clowance (SW63H, 1994, D.T.Holyoak), in the marshy area at Kennack Sands (SW71I, 1994, C.I.Pogson) and at the Great Moreton SSSI, near the Tamar Lakes (SS20T, 1994, M.Atkinson).
