Flora of Cornwall (1999)

The descriptive text, below the map, is from the Flora of Cornwall (1999), which was a Tetrad Atlas (the maps had 2km square dots or Tetrads). The map on this web page depicts the plant's distribution at the 1km square scale and shows the records made pre-2000 which were used in the 1999 Flora and those made since.

Lavatera punctata - Annual Tree-mallow

Annual Tree-mallow was first discovered growing between Truro and Malpas in 1922 (SW84G). In 1989 a planted specimen was reported at Calstock (SX46P, A.G.Mackonochie) and then in 1991 it appeared at the disused Loggan's Mill (SW53U, A.L.Grenfell). The specimen was originally thought to be Malope malacoides but was re-identified by E.Clement.
