Flora of Cornwall (1999)

The descriptive text, below the map, is from the Flora of Cornwall (1999), which was a Tetrad Atlas (the maps had 2km square dots or Tetrads). The map on this web page depicts the plant's distribution at the 1km square scale and shows the records made pre-2000 which were used in the 1999 Flora and those made since.

Aster x salignus - Common Michaelmas-daisy

A rare but established garden escape on road verges and waste ground. It has been found scattered across Cornwall at such places as Lizard Village (SW71B, 1980s), Racecourse Downs (SX06Z, 1990, M.Atkinson) on Bodmin Moor, Polgooth near St. Austell (SX04E, 1997, M.Atkinson) and the edge of Hingston Down (SX47A, 1987, L.J.Margetts).
