The descriptive text, below the map, is from the Flora of Cornwall (1999), which was a Tetrad Atlas (the maps had 2km square dots or Tetrads). The map on this web page depicts the plant's distribution at the 1km square scale and shows the records made pre-2000 which were used in the 1999 Flora and those made since.

Persicaria amplexicaulis - Red Bistort



Red Bistort has become an established garden escape which has been recorded from road verges, hedges and waste ground, such as at Buryas Bridge (SW42P, 1991, C.N.French), near Rosuic on the Lizard (SW72K, 1992, C.N.French), at Pityme (SW97N, 1997, M.Atkinson) and near Trebarwith (SX08S, 1998, M.Atkinson).
