Flora of Cornwall (1999)

The descriptive text, below the map, is from the Flora of Cornwall (1999), which was a Tetrad Atlas (the maps had 2km square dots or Tetrads). The map on this web page depicts the plant's distribution at the 1km square scale and shows the records made pre-2000 which were used in the 1999 Flora and those made since.

Rubus venetorum

On the Isles of Scilly this newly described bramble is abundant on Halangy Down, St. Mary's (SV91B, 1995, D.E.Allen) and has also been reported from Low Pool, Rose Hill and Carn Morval Downs, St. Mary's (SV91A & SV91B, 1954, J.E.Lousley). In Cornwall it has also been found in a wood near Polbathic (SX35N, 1980, E.S.Edees).
