Flora of Cornwall (1999)

The descriptive text, below the map, is from the Flora of Cornwall (1999), which was a Tetrad Atlas (the maps had 2km square dots or Tetrads). The map on this web page depicts the plant's distribution at the 1km square scale and shows the records made pre-2000 which were used in the 1999 Flora and those made since.

Rumex x muretii - Rumex pulcher x conglomeratus

This hybrid between R. pulcher and R. conglomeratus has been reported from the Isles of Scilly on a number of occasions; at Southward in 1940 (SV81S, J.E.Lousley), to the west of the battery in Old Town Bay in 1971 (SV91, J.P.Bowman) and again on St. Mary's in 1993 (SV91A, A.Underhill). In Cornwall it was recorded to the south west of Pentire Farm, near New Polzeath in 1989 (SW98F, G.D.Kitchener), near Ventongimps Moor (SW75Q, 1994, D.T.Holyoak) and in dune grassland at Phillack Towans (SW53U, 1995, D.T.Holyoak).
