Flora of Cornwall (1999)

The descriptive text, below the map, is from the Flora of Cornwall (1999), which was a Tetrad Atlas (the maps had 2km square dots or Tetrads). The map on this web page depicts the plant's distribution at the 1km square scale and shows the records made pre-2000 which were used in the 1999 Flora and those made since.

Vitis vinifera - Grape-vine

Grape-vine is a rare garden relic or throwout. It is also thought to have grown from discarded pips. In the past it has appeared on mine waste at Gilbert's Coombe (SW64W, L.J.Margetts), been found growing over a small willow at Porthcothan (SW87Q, 1996, D.I.Cockerill) and on the site of former greenhouses above Priest's Cove (SW33K, 1987, M.Cuddy).
