Flora of Cornwall (1999)

The descriptive text, below the map, is from the Flora of Cornwall (1999), which was a Tetrad Atlas (the maps had 2km square dots or Tetrads). The map on this web page depicts the plant's distribution at the 1km square scale and shows the records made pre-2000 which were used in the 1999 Flora and those made since.

Persicaria amphibia - Amphibious Bistort

Amphibious Bistort remains at many of its old stations in scattered lakes, reservoirs, pools, ponds and marshes. It can be locally abundant, as at Stithians Reservoir (SW73C, 1988, S.M.Turk). Other sites include Trevethoe, near Lelant (SW53I, 1987, S.M.Turk), Predannack Reserve (SW61Y, 1987, S.M.Hocking), Gunwalloe Marsh (SW62Q, 1989, K.Hearn), Loe Pool (SW62M, 1991, R.J.Murphy), near Polzeath (SW97J, 1991, R.W.David), Fletchersbridge (SX16C, 1991, M.Atkinson), near Bude (SS10W, 1992, M.Atkinson) and a canal by Gunnislake Weir (SX47F, 1997, R.Fitzgerald).
