Flora of Cornwall (1999)

The descriptive text, below the map, is from the Flora of Cornwall (1999), which was a Tetrad Atlas (the maps had 2km square dots or Tetrads). The map on this web page depicts the plant's distribution at the 1km square scale and shows the records made pre-2000 which were used in the 1999 Flora and those made since.

Milium effusum - Wood Millet

This woodland grass is very rare in West Cornwall but locally frequent in many of the well-wooded river valleys in the east, such as along the Camel Trail (SX06E, 1997, M.Atkinson), in West Wood in the Fowey valley (SX15I, 1991, R.J.Murphy) and in Underwood near Launcells (SS20M, 1992, T.W.J.D.Dupree). It is absent from the Isles of Scilly.
