Flora of Cornwall (1999)

The descriptive text, below the map, is from the Flora of Cornwall (1999), which was a Tetrad Atlas (the maps had 2km square dots or Tetrads). The map on this web page depicts the plant's distribution at the 1km square scale and shows the records made pre-2000 which were used in the 1999 Flora and those made since.

Ceratophyllum demersum - Rigid Hornwort

A rare and very localised aquatic. Sites include a large pond at Lower Amble (SW97X, 1994, R.J.Murphy), Crowan Reservoir (SW63M, 1980, K.Hearn), a ditch near the Goonhilly Earth Station (SW72F, 1980s, A.J.Byfield), a pool on Phillack Towans (SW53U, 1994, D.T.Holyoak), a pond at Little Larnick (SX25H, 1997, M.Atkinson) and the Bude canal (SS20C, 1998, M.Atkinson). There are older records from the Bude canal (SS20D, 1971, L.J.Margetts) and Tamar Lakes (SS21V, 1973, J.A.Paton).
