Flora of Cornwall (1999)

The descriptive text, below the map, is from the Flora of Cornwall (1999), which was a Tetrad Atlas (the maps had 2km square dots or Tetrads). The map on this web page depicts the plant's distribution at the 1km square scale and shows the records made pre-2000 which were used in the 1999 Flora and those made since.

Leucanthemum x superbum - Shasta Daisy

Substantial clumps of this showy member of the Daisy family can be seen in many waste places, on roadside banks and on mineralised land. No doubt many have arisen through the dumping of garden refuse. Sites include Carbis Bay (SW53J, 1998, C.N.French), Portscatho (SW83S, 1998, M.Tempest), Porthcothan (SW87L, 1999, I.J.Bennallick), Kilkhampton (SS21L, 1997, M.Atkinson), Torpoint (SX45H, 1997, M.Atkinson) and on St. Mary's, Isles of Scilly (SV91A, 1995, H.M.Meredith).
