Flora of Cornwall (1999)

The descriptive text, below the map, is from the Flora of Cornwall (1999), which was a Tetrad Atlas (the maps had 2km square dots or Tetrads). The map on this web page depicts the plant's distribution at the 1km square scale and shows the records made pre-2000 which were used in the 1999 Flora and those made since.

Claytonia perfoliata - Spring Beauty

Springbeauty is best sought on the Isles of Scilly where it is an abundant weed. On the mainland it has always been very rare. There are three recent records; about a dozen plants near Angarrack Bridge (SW53U, 1989, L.J.Margetts), at Sunny Corner, Sennen (SW32T, 1991, J.Lawman) and from Caer Bran Farm (SW42E, 1994, A.Hathway).
