Range & Status

Always in shallow water and perhaps preferring Eelgrass Zostera marina . ' Exceedingly rare in Britain' (Thompson, 1988) although widespread. Also from the Bay of Biscay. Only two records for Cornwall, an old record from Cawsand and a more recent record (1983) from the Percuil estuary.
