Cantharellus ferruginascens



Range & Status

A rarely reported but apparently widespread species found on soil amongst leaf litter in deciduous woodland where it has been reported with Birch Betula spp., Beech Fagus sylvatica and Oak Quercus spp. There are two relatively recent Cornish records: a hedge bank at Budock Water (1999) and in woods near Idless (1989).
