Range & Status

A rare, southern British species is found typically epiphytic on larger red algae in the

subtidal zone in depths of 4-14m, at sites with slight to moderate wave action. Also

occasionally attached to pebbles. Known in the British Isles from only a few localities in Dorset, south Devon and north Cornwall.
