Range & Status

Found on consolidated soil and occasionally on friable rock on or near the coast. A rare species recorded from the Channel Islands, the Isles of Scilly and south-west Wales. Recently recorded from the Pentire Peninsula on the north-east Cornish coast and on consolidated soil and disintegrating bands of schist on the Lizard Peninsula. It has also been found on mortar on the island of Sampson in the Isles of Scilly.
