Andrena humilis - A solitary mining bee



Range & Status

Widespread in England from west Cornwall to east Kent and north to Yorkshire; also in Wales. A coastal and inland species, with numerous older records but only five post-1980 records. Coastal sites include Dannonchapel, Penhale Sands and Holywell Bay; inland sites include Fox Tor (Bodmin Moor) and Luckett.
