Range & Status

This is generally a northern species in Britain and Ireland, it is found from south-west

Scotland through to Shetland, north-east Ireland and the Celtic Sea. It is usually found in sheltered to moderately exposed habitats attached to wrecks, hard substrata or kelp in depths of 20 to several hundred metres.
