Hydnellum ferrugineum - Mealy Tooth



Range & Status

A rarely reported but apparently widespread species found in coniferous woodland on sandy soil under Pine Pinus sylvestris or occasionally Spruce Picea spp. Only one record from Cornwall, from VC1, in 1967. This fungus is on the UK BAP List of Priority Species as a Grouped Plan species (Toothed Fungi).
