Sorbus devoniensis - Broad-leaved Whitebeam



Range & Status

Endemic to Devon, south-east Ireland and Cornwall.

Regional Distribution

It occurs in Cornwall at only two nearby sites very close to the border with Devon; at

Tetcott and north of Beardon (SX39). Last recorded in 1999, it is presumed to still be

there.

Habitat & Ecology

Grows in a few rural Cornish Hedges.

Threats

Hedge removal and inappropriate management.

Conservation

Neither site is protected.
