Polysiphonia harveyi



Range & Status

A fairly large species (to 10cm) which is believed to be an alien introduction to Britain.

Found growing epiphytically on algae and Eelgrass Zostera spp. in intertidal pools to the shallow intertidal. Appears to be more common on south-western coasts.
