Nabis brevis - A damsel bug



Range & Status

Widely scattered across lowland Britain.

Regional Distribution

Discovered near Marazion in 1965 by R.T. Bannister.

Habitat & Ecology

Found in bogs and on wet heath where it feeds on other invertebrates.

Threats

Drainage and destruction of bogs and heaths, but also the abandonment of grazing

leading to Willow Salix spp. scrub development.
