Range & Status

Archaeophyte. Eurosiberian Southern-temperate plant. Found scattered across lowland southern Britain with notable concentrations along the coast from east Devon eastwards.

Regional Distribution

Occurs on the inhabited islands in the Isles of Scilly. In West Cornwall it is restricted to a small coastal area near Marazion (SW53).

Habitat & Ecology

A widespread plant of arable habitats and disturbed ground in the Isles of Scilly. In Cornwall it occurs in a few cultivated fields, where it is infrequent.

Threats

Loss of arable fields.

Conservation

None of the sites are protected.
